Dewalt DW756 Bench Grinder by Lance
The Dewalt DW756 bench grinder is in my opinion one of the best grinders for the money. Dewalt makes fine tools even though they are not my first choice, but this grinder is very smooth, quiet and has very good power. I have looked at and used others, but this one is very good quality and made well.
My purchase was influence by other Dewalt power tools that I have purchased. I had no problems with the balance or vibration as described in other reviews. One reviewer stated that the 1/4 inch mounting bolts were missing. If you read the manual or look at the parts listing enclosed with the grinder there are no bolts included. This makes sense, as Dewalt has no idea what each user is going to mount the grinder to. I mounted mine to a wood work bench and needed bolts that were 3 1/2 inches long. Assembly was easy and Dewalt supplied an allen wrench for the hex cap screws.
I also purchased an 8 inch wire brush wheel at the same time and installation was not a problem. Both wheel shields have to be removed in order to access the wheel that is being replaced and to position tools to the arbor on either side. The wire wheel removal and installation process took about 30 minutes.
What i love about the dewalt dw756 bench grinder is that it is so versatile. One minute it is a grinder and the next minute it is a wire brush. It is so handy around the shop, i use it every day and i do not know what i would do without it.

I was looking at buying mine online because it was easier to just ship it to my house than it would be to drive an hour away to pick one up. So i looked on of course ebay.com and all they had were used ones. My next plan was to look on amazon.com and see what their prices were. I actually found out that amazon.com owns the website smallparts.com and they have free 1 or 2 day shipping with a cheaper price than even amazon.com offered.
